During my recent business trip to El Paso, Texas, I had the chance to visit Suzuyo’s warehouse located right near the U.S.–Mexico border.
Driving along the highway, you can even see the famous “Trump Wall” stretching — a unique reminder that El Paso truly is a border city.
At our warehouse, many of the team members are originally from Mexico.
To share a bit of Japanese culture, I brought some Japanese snacks as souvenirs — and the reactions were so much fun that I made a quick ranking!
#1: Caplico
The light, airy chocolate texture was new to everyone and quickly became a hit.
#2: Blueberry Sauce Marshmallow
A fruity surprise inside! Soft and tangy at the same time.
#3: Jagariko (Crispy Potato Sticks)
Crunchy and savory. It’s also one of the most popular snacks in Japan!
It was interesting to see which snacks became instant favorites — some results were quite unexpected!
You can actually find many of these Japanese treats at Daiso stores across the U.S., so give them a try and see which one becomes your favorite!
